Shared Charging Power: Does 160W Mean 160W Per Port?
No: the vollair F63's 160W rating describes its maximum combined output, not 160W from each cable or port. When comparing a charging station for multiple devices, separate the total power budget from the rating of the connection your device will use.
Total power and individual output are different
A combined output rating tells you the maximum total the station is specified to supply. It does not, by itself, tell you the maximum output of an individual cable or port, or which combinations of devices receive which outputs.
For the F63, four retractable USB-C cables and four additional USB-C ports share up to 160W. Eight connections do not imply eight equal 20W outputs, and the total rating does not establish that every device can receive its preferred power at once.
Why dividing the total by the number of ports is misleading
The available output depends on the station's allocation rules and the combination of active connections. Simply dividing 160 by eight does not establish the actual output of each connection. Likewise, multiplying a single connection's rating by the number of ports does not establish the station's combined capacity.
How to choose charging-station wattage
- List devices used together. Separate devices needed during work from those that can charge at another time.
- Find the charging requirements. Use each device manufacturer's instructions and charging specifications.
- Check the intended connection. Confirm its supported output and the suitability of the cable.
- Check the combination. Look for a power-allocation table covering the connections you intend to use simultaneously.
- Ask about gaps. A total wattage label alone is not enough to confirm a particular laptop-and-accessories setup.
A practical example
If you charge a laptop, phone and headphones together, do not decide suitability only by the station's advertised total. Identify the laptop's requirements, select the intended cable or port, and check what remains available with the other connections active. This is a planning example, not a measured F63 allocation result.
Will every device charge at its maximum speed?
That cannot be concluded from the total rating. Charging performance depends on device requirements, supported charging profiles, cable capability and the active connection combination. A higher total rating alone does not guarantee a device's advertised fast-charging mode.
What if the allocation table is missing?
Ask the seller to confirm the exact configuration before buying. For the F63, send your device models, charging requirements and intended connections to vollair support. We do not substitute an estimated allocation for verified specifications.
Build a suitable desk setup
Read the desktop charging station buying guide, compare retractable and separate charging cables, and check device compatibility. The F63 product page lists the station's core specifications.
